It's the 11th hour for Christmas gifts, and though summer is months away, it's never to early to think about what gear you'll need when the snow melts. And since springtime is the season of rebirth and new beginnings, it's appropriate to associate that time of year with new life, new hobbies and new entrants into our beloved sports.
In the BMX realm there's nothing more memorable than the moment you got your first bike, be it a Haro or a Huffy or some other Made in China mode of transport; the freedom of two wheels was Promethium... as when man discovered fire.
With those two thoughts in mind, here's a list of sweet BMX bikes to buy for your kid, lilttle brother or illegitimate child that won't break the bank and will certainly serve as a funny reference down the line when he says to his homes, "Yeah mine was the GI Joe model."

"My husband put this together super fast for our 4 1/2 year old son. He thinks this is the coolest bike ever. Loves the training wheels and brake. Wish it wasn't snowing so he could use it outside, but it seems to work well in our basement."
GI Joe 16-inch Snake Eyes Kid's Bicycle

GI Joe is famous for its Public Service Announcements...keeping kids out of trouble and teaching them the morale underpinnings of a great force for good. Fortunately, the Joe's are not to high strung that they avoid the fun inherent on a BMX bike. Who new launching air and spinning tailwhips could be better than blasting Cobra with laser beams. Now you know...and knowing is half the battle!

"This is a sturdy, well-built kids bike. You are certainly getting what you pay for here. The 16-inch frame is on the heavier side as it is constructed of steel. The workmanship is spot on. My son loves it and won't let anyone touch it! The only downsides are that I had to spend 'some' time adjusting the rear brake cable and that the bolt was missing to attach the front tire guard. But as anyone knows, adjusting the brake pressure on a new bike is pretty standard. All in all, I'm glad I bought this one as it will last my 4yr old for years to come. Go GI-Joe!"

No race is more radical than those on bikes and if you're gonna compete you might as well represent a reputable brand like Kawasaki. You think Chad Reed would be where he is today if he weren't on the big green machine... I think not.
