Kelly Slater has been receiving lots of mainstream press lately. Articles in USA Today, the cover of Sports Illustrated and now this extended interview with CNN reporter, Jason Carroll. It's always fun to watch people who really don't know anything about action sports interview its athletes. Just yesterday freeskier Tanner Hall had an entertaining exchange on FOX. At the same time it's nice to see Kelly getting some of the respect and attention from the non-surfing world he deserves.
