Nyquist pulled an opposite double truck, a competition first for him, and a barspin 720 as part of his award-winning run that earned him a 92.69. La Mesa, Calif.-native Dennis Enarson was a close second with a score of 91.75 and pulled a no handed one-footer tailwhip and a triple whip. Scotty Cranmer, of Jackson, N.J., rounded out the podium in third with a score of 91.50.
“Historically the Dew Tour stop in Portland has always been a good one for me, and I’m just happy it worked out in my favor,†said Nyquist. “I had been working on the opposite double truck, and I had never really felt comfortable throwing it in a competition before, so I was happy about sticking it.â€Â
