Quiksilver is proud to have snowboarder Eric Willett now riding with the Quiksilver snow team. The 22-year-old is one of snowboarding s major up-and-comers having racked up world-class slopestyle wins worldwide last winter. Willett s smooth style and pocket full of double corked tricks mix into slopestyle runs and shine brightly in big air contests.
Everything Quiksilver makes is sick! I remember when I was younger and seeing Quiksilver outerwear and thinking it was the raddest stuff, says Willett. And they've got some of the best riders on their team. I'm stoked be a part of it!
Last season the Breckenridge-local came in hot winning Stylewars New Zealand and taking third place at the NZ Open. The northern hemisphere season started with a podium finish at the 2009/10 Dew Tour opener. Willett firmed up his place at the top of slopestyle riders today with a convincing second place finish at the Winter X Games chased by a win at the European X Games.
I am so excited to have a young ripper like Eric join us at Quiksilver going into this winter. Style is something you just can t teach and it is oozing out of Eric, says Oren Tanzer, Quiksilver Snow Brand Manager. I look forward to seeing him on the top step this season.
This season Willett is fired up for a contest season with stops in every corner of the globe. He ll be dropping into all of the Dew Tours, as well as both the US and European X Games, Beijing Air & Style and the Arctic Challenge among others. Look out as Willett blends a bunch of different double corks into his slopestyle run with smooth, stylish jibs and maybe even a few good ol' laid out backflips.
At home in Breckenridge, Willett spends his summers mountain biking, skateboarding, camping and on down days geeking out with a good game of Tetris. Check out Willett and the entire Quiksilver snow team at Quiksilver.com/snow where you ll also find weekly episodes of the Todcast, hosted by Quiksilver rider, Todd Richards.
