Mariana Saori Renteria is a gorgeous 20-year-old, 5'9" model born and raised in Los Angeles with a smile that will melt your heart and a body that makes photographers drool. As an avid surfer, the significant other of pro snowboarder Eddie Wall and a model for magazines like Foam and Billabong's Design for Humanity, her roots in action sports are firm.




Mariana has been a model for over 15 years but has kept her feet firmly on the ground. Her bio on her blog states that her favorite animal is an owl because they are observant and see light in dark places. No doubt such perspective has been gained by hard work while overcoming the many obstacles inherent in the cut throat world of modeling and entertainment. Then again, when your smart, funny, cool and downright beautiful, well, good things just seem to happen for people who deserve it.




Not just a pretty face, Mariana's nature is one of adventure and expression. From skateboarding along the boardwalks of Venice and snowboarding in Mammoth to dedicating her free time to painting and photography, her zest for life is reflected not only in the images that earn her a living but also in her general philosophy on life; summed up nicely here in her favorite quote from the movie The Beach:

"Never refuse an invitation; never resist the unfamiliar; never fail to be polite; never over stay your welcome. Keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, then it was probably worth it. I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it's not some place you can look for, cause it's not where you go, it's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're apart of something, and if you find that moment... it lasts forever."
